Aubrey Wroble (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) went 1-for-4 with a stolen base, and she set a pair of single-season program records. Wroble set the team record for batting average (minimum of 100 at-bats) by batting .490 (71-for-145), topping the previous record of .471 (72-for-153) set by former standout Megan Paradzinski (2008-2011) who did so also as a freshman in 2008. Wroble also set the SXU On-Base percentage record (min. 100 at-bats), reaching base safely on a .532 clip. She surpasses the mark of .530 (157 at-bats) set by former NAIA All-American and the 2006 NAIA Softball Player of the Year Colleen Kilduff (2003-06) during her 2006 campaign.
- Junior infielder Abbie Carr (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) hit a double and went 2-for-4.
- Senior infielder Brooke Koran (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East) was 1-for-4 with an RBI.
- Sophomore outfielder Haley Matlock (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) went 1-for-4 with a run and a steal.
- Junior pitcher Julianne Claas (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Hamilton) took the loss, pitching 0.1 innings and allowing three hits, two earned runs and two walks.
- Senior pitcher Laila Summers (Joliet, Ill./Providence Catholic) worked 6.2 innings of relief, giving up 10 hits, four earned runs and striking out eight batters.
- The Bruins took a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st on an RBI double and an RBI single.
- Wright lined an RBI base hit to left in the bottom half of the inning to cut the deficit in half, 2-1.
- BU responded with three runs in the top of the 2nd off an RBI double and a two-run single.
- Saint Xavier rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 3rd to pull within a run, 5-4. Wright clubbed an RBI double, junior catcher Lindsay Morgan (Huntley, Ill./Keiser/Huntley) put down a sacrifice bunt moving Wright to third and she scored on an error, and Koran laced an RBI single to the gap in left center.
- Bellevue tallied a run in the top of the 5th on a safety squeeze bunt.
- The Cougars were able to get the tying run into scoring position in the 4th, 5th & 6th innings, however they were unable to cash in.
