Bobby Habetler (Park Ridge, Ill./Indiana Tech/St. Patrick) represented the Saint Xavier University men's bowing team at the ISC (Intercollegiate Singles Championships) National Tournament this past week at the Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, Wis. While at the tournament, he was named a National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) All-American Honorable Mention. He is now a two-time NCBCA All-American after he claimed Second Team honors last season.
- The ISC tournament started with the qualifying round featuring 24 bowlers competing in six traditional frames to seed the competitors on April 14. Habetler placed 15th, collecting 1,150 pins. He hit a high of 224 pins in game one, followed by a tally of 216 pins in game two.
- In the single-elimination bracket Habetler bowled against No. 18 Daryus Alo from Newman University (Kan.). He posted a score of 627, forcing a 10th strike from for his opponent, which was converted, eliminating Habetler by a final mark of 644-627.
- Tyler Close from St. Ambrose University (Iowa), who was seeded No. 8, was crowned champion Saturday afternoon after he defeated No. 14 Landin Jordan from SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) by a 200-176 decision.
