CHICAGO – Senior guard
Jordan Jackson (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northwood/Wilmington/East Kentwood) finished with a team-high 23 points, shooting at an 88.9 percent clip (8-for-9), along with a game-best seven assists, three rebounds and a steal to help Saint Xavier University men's basketball (3-0, 0-0 CCAC) improve to 3-0 after a 117-100 victory over Indiana University Columbus Monday evening on Bob Hallberg Court at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. Jackson was one of seven Cougars to score in double-figures as they were a part of the sixth-highest scoring game in program history and it was the most points by an SXU squad since a 127-69 win over East-West University (Ill.) on November 20, 2010.
- Senior forward Kevin Bishop (Cleveland, Ohio/Pikeville/Parkland/Cleveland Benedictine) was perfect from the field, making all seven of his shot attempts, and he collected 16 points on the night. Bishop also had four rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot.
- Redshirt sophomore guard Mason Kibelkis (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) tied his career-high with 14 points, going 5-for-8 from the floor and 4-for-6 from beyond the arc in 11 minutes off the bench.
- Junior guard Mekhi Wilson (Covington, Ky./Iowa Central/Covington Catholic) posted 13 points with a season-best five assists, a rebound and a steal.
- Junior guard Ashton Atwater (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Valley/Ostego) recorded a season-high 12 points, draining four treys on eight attempts, five assists, a rebound and a steal.
- Senior forward Andre Brandon (Coralville, Iowa/Sauk Valley/Liberty) came away with 11 points, four rebounds, a game-high three steals and an assist.
- Junior forward Davion Lawrence (Oak Lawn, Ill./Moraine Valley/Oak Lawn Community) registered 10 points, seven rebounds, an assist and a block in 14 minutes off the bench.
- Fifth-year senior guard Julian Barr (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln Land/Lincoln-Way East) chipped in nine points, a season-best six assists and a steal.
Saint Xavier (3-0, 0-0 CCAC) hosts No. 8 Grace College (Ind.) at the Shannon Center on Friday, November 15. The game is set for a 7:00 pm tipoff on Bob Hallberg Court in Chicago, Ill.
