Palos Heights, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University men's soccer team (3-10-4, 3-4-3 CCAC) concluded the regular season portion of their schedule with a 5-0 loss Trinity Christian College (Ill.) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Saturday afternoon at the Schaaf Athletic Complex in Palos Heights, Ill. Rodrigo Hernandez (Bridgeview, Ill./Stagg) led the Cougars with two shot attempts with one on goal in 71 minutes of playing time. Junior goalkeeper
Daniel Martinez (Cicero, Ill./Morton East) made the start in net, and he finished the match with three saves. SXU will enter the CCAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed that begins on Thursday, November 7.
- Freshman defender Cesar Martinez (Chicago, Ill./Washington) also had a shot on goal for Saint Xavier in 64 minutes off the bench.
- Senior midfielder Saul Camacho (Summit, Ill./Elmhurst/St. Laurence), junior midfielder Omar Aparicio (Chicago, Ill./Hancock College Prep), junior defender/midfielder Daniel Diaz (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) and sophomore defender Neil Soans (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) all had one shot attempt for the Cougars.
- The Trolls took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute and held a 2-0 advantage at halftime after they scored in the 36th minute.
- TCC went up 3-0 in the 54th minute and added goals in the 79th and 86th minutes, respectively.
