Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Saint Xavier University women's volleyball team (19-12, 13-1 CCAC) saw its season come to an end after a close four-set defeat to No. 11 ranked Aquinas College (Mich.) in the NAIA Opening Round Saturday afternoon at the Sturrus Sports Center in Grand Rapids, Mich. Courtney Hunter (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) recorded a team-high 15 kills and a team-best trying three blocks. The Cougars conclude the season having reached the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament Championship for the fifth time since 2017 (2017, 2018, 2021, 2022 & 2024), as well as appearing in the NAIA Opening Round for the fifth time during that same time span.
- Senior outside hitter Connie LeBel (Crestwood, Ill./DePaul/Ferris State/Mother McAuley) came away with 13 kills, nine digs and a service ace.
- Redshirt junior setter Samantha Hovey (Mackinaw, Ill./Heartland/Dee-Mack) tallied 31 assists and 12 digs for her sixth double-double of the year. She also had two aces, a block and a kill.
- Redshirt junior libero Avanna Martinez (Coamo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Ponceno) posted a team-leading 14 digs with a team-best three service aces and three assists.
- Junior middle blocker Nicole Grochola (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) registered eight kills, three blocks and an assist.
- Junior defensive specialist Katie DeHaan (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) scooped up 10 digs, her eighth double-digit match of the season, and she had two aces.
- Junior outside hitter Jenny Jensen (Orland Park, Ill./Cardinal Stritch/Sandburg) added a pair of kills and a dig, while freshman middle blocker Carrington Smith (Flossmoor, Ill./Marian Catholic) had a block, a dig and a kill.
- Freshman defensive specialist Taylor Vann (Oklahoma City, Okla./Bishop McGuinness Catholic) recorded six digs and a pair of service aces, and sophomore setter Abbey Opilka (Dyer, Ind./Hanover Central) chipped in three assists and two digs.
