CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University men's basketball team (14-10, 9-7 CCAC) was defeated by Indiana University South Bend in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Wednesday evening on Bob Hallberg Court at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. Senior guard
Cedric Johnson (Bellevue, Neb./Sioux Falls/Nebraska-Kearney/Bellevue West) led the Cougars with 11 points. He also had a team-high five rebounds and two assists. Junior guard
Sando Hill (Vanoss, Okla./Lyon/Seminole State/Vanoss) also finished in double-figures with 10 points. He added four rebounds, a game-best three steals and an assist.
- Freshman forward James Stevenson (Sun River Terrace, Ill./Momence) scored six points, along with three rebounds, an assist and a steal.
- Junior forward Andre Brandon (Coralville, Iowa/Sauk Valley/Liberty) had five points, four rebounds and a steal.
- Freshman guard Jordan Streeter (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) tallied five points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
- Freshman forward Marko Tojagic (Belgrade, Serbia/Saint Andrew) collected three rebounds and two blocked shots.
- Freshman guard James White (Chicago, Ill./Chicago-Agricultural Sciences) chipped in two points, while junior Trey Ward (Chicago Ridge, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) came away with three rebounds off the bench.
Saint Xavier (14-11, 9-8 CCAC is on the road to face Holy Cross College (Ind.) in a CCAC contest on Saturday, February 17 in Notre Dame, Ind. The game is slated for a 2:00 pm eastern start.
