Joliet, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (16-11, 14-6 CCAC) concluded the regular season with a 78-57 loss to University of St. Francis (Ill.) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) matchup Saturday afternoon at the Sullivan Center in Joliet, Ill. Jaidn Green (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North) finished with a team-high 15 points, along with six rebounds, four assists and a steal. Despite the loss, the Cougars will host a CCAC Tournament Quarterfinal game on Tuesday, February 27.
- Junior forward Alyssa Crenshaw (Algonquin, Ill./Dundee Crown) recorded 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal.
- Junior guard Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) collected eight points, two assists, two rebounds and a pair of steals.
- Junior forward Sofie Carr (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) tallied seven points on 3-for-3 shooting from the floor with two rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench.
- Sophomore center Eleanor Harris (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) registered six points and six rebounds in 26 minutes of playing time.
- Freshman guard Emma Clark (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah Community) was 2-for-5 from beyond the arc with six points, along with a blocked shot and a rebound.
- Sophomore guard Lia Chudzik (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) added three assists, three rebounds and a block.
Saint Xavier (16-11/14-6 CCAC) earns the No. 3 seed in the CCAC Tournament by virtue of their regular season sweep of Roosevelt University (Ill.). Time and opponent are TBA, and will be announced by the conference early next week.
