CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University men's soccer team (0-4-1, 0-0 CCAC) lost to Huntington University (Ind.) Wednesday evening at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago, Ill. Senior midfielder Francisco Espinoza (Lansing, Ill./Illinois-Chicago/T.F. South) led the Cougars with a pair of shot attempts with one shot on goal while playing all 90 minutes. The Foresters held a 13-6 shot advantage over SXU despite Saint Xavier playing a man-up after a red card was issued to HU in the 52^nd minute.

• Senior defender Valente Lara Jr. (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) and junior defender Jessie Cardiel (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) each had a shot on goal, respectively.
• Redshirt junior goalkeeper Joel Estrada (Chicago, Ill./Solorio Academy) made five saves while patrolling the net.
• The Cougars drew a foul inside the 18-yard box in the 6^th minute, however the penalty kick from sophomore midfielder Aidan Breslin (Crestwood, Ill./Western Illinois/Shepard) went wide left.
• Huntington tallied the only goal in the contest a little over three minutes later in the 9^th minute off a rush from the left side.
• Cardiel took a long shot from the near left side that was stopped in the 32^nd minute and Lara Jr. lined a shot from midfield in the 45^th minute that was also saved.
• Estrada made three of his five saves in the second half. Espinoza had the chance to square the match in the 71^st minute, but the shot was saved.

Saint Xavier (0-4-1/0-0 CCAC) travels to Arlington Heights, Ill. to play Roosevelt University (Ill.) on Saturday, September 14. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm kickoff.
