South Bend, Ind. – With the start of the 2025-26 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Esports tournament beginning today in South Bend, Ind., hosted by Bethel University (Ind.), the Saint Xavier University Esports team had five players claim All-WHAC recognition. The Cougars had three players from Overwatch 2 represented, while two players from Rocket League earned all-conference. SXU finished with a WHAC record of 5-2 in Rocket League, and claiming the No. 4 seed in the tournament. In Overwatch 2, Saint Xavier had a conference record of 4-2 to come away with the No. 3 seed.
- Junior Nicolas Tellez (Alsip, Ill./Eisenhower), IGN: 'telmjcan', was named All-WHAC Overwatch 2 First Team for his position at Tank. Graduate student Timothy Novak (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg), IGN: 'Timbo', for his position at DPS was named All-WHAC Overwatch 2 Second Team. Also earning a spot on the All-WHAC Overwatch 2 Second Team was senior Michael Guzaitis (Tinley Park, Ill./Marist), IGN: 'citron', for his position as Support.
- Senior Marcos Nunez (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community), IGN: 'toast', claimed All-WHAC Second Team Rocket League honors, as did sophomore Jacob Hartman (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East), IGN: 'haart'.
