South Bend, Ind. – A three-point attempt as tied expired missed the basket at the Saint Xavier University men's basketball team (3-6, 2-1 CCAC) dropped its first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) game of the season in a 75-72 setback to Indiana University South Bend Tuesday evening at the Student Activity Center in South Bend, Ind. Senior forward Davion Lawrence (Oak Lawn, Ill./Moraine Valley/Oak Lawn Community) finished with a game-high 20 points, his fourth game with 20 or more points this season, three rebounds and an assist for the Cougars. He made four threes on nine attempts, going 7-for-16 from the field overall.

SXU controlled the pace in the first half, leading by as many as eight points, 18-10, after a layup by Lawrence at the 12:37 mark. The Titans would regain the lead in the closing minutes, and they would make a layup just before the buzzer to head into the locker room leading Saint Xavier, 32-31. The game remained close in the second half. Lawrence knocked down a three to put the Cougars up 64-63 with 4:20 left in regulation, however IUSB scored on the next possession to hold the lead down the stretch.

• Senior guard Mekhi Wilson (Covington, Ky./Iowa Central/Covington Catholic), making his first start of the year, scored a season-high 17 points. He went 6-for-10 from the field, 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, and grabbed a pair of rebounds.
• Junior guard James Morgan (Chicago, Ill./South Suburban/Lincoln Land/East Chicago Central) posted a season-best 11 points, making five of his nine shot attempts, along with an assist and a rebound.
• Senior guard Ike Nwaobi (York/Kilgore/Costal Bend/Westbrook) tallied eight points, two rebounds and an assist in 14 minutes off the bench.
• Redshirt sophomore guard Jordan Streeter (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) netted five points while adding three rebounds (all offensive) and a blocked shot.
• Junior forward Marko Tojagic (Belgrade, Serbia/Saint Andrews) totaled four points, three rebounds, two blocks and an assist.
• Redshirt junior guard Mason Kibelkis (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) collected three points, three rebounds, a blocked shot and a steal.
• Senior guard Jerry Abushanab (Glendale Heights, Ill./Oklahoma Panhandle State/Southwest Baptist/Link Prep) registered three assists, two points and two rebounds.
• Redshirt sophomore guard James White (Chicago, Ill./Chicago-Agricultural Science) logged a season-high 19 minutes of action, coming away with two points and an assist.

Saint Xavier (3-6, 2-1 CCAC) participates in the University of St. Francis (Ill.) Thanksgiving Classic that begins on Saturday, November 29 against Cumberland University (Tenn.). The game is slated for an 8:00 pm start in Joliet, Ill.
