Ryann Ogarek (Joliet, Ill./Benedictine/Lewis/Providence) tied the game at 65-65, making a buzzer-beating layup as time expired to send the game into overtime, however the No. 5 seeded Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (18-11, 14-6 CCAC) could not carry the momentum into the extra frame, losing to No. 4 Indiana University Northwest, 77-72, in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament Quarterfinals Wednesday evening at the Savannah Center in Gary, Ind. Ogarek finished with a team-high tying 19 points on 9-for-16 shooting, along with nine rebounds and a steal in 34 minutes of action.

Alyssa Crenshaw (Algonquin, Ill./Dundee-Crown) made a layup with just under a minute left in regulation. Crenshaw scored eight of her 19 points in the fourth frame. IUN hit a three-pointer with 14 seconds left forcing an SXU time out. Saint Xavier missed a pair of shots before Ogarek took an in-bounds pass with a second left to tie the game. The RedHawks scored the first six points of overtime and did not trail in the extra period to advance in the conference tournament.
- Crenshaw shot 8-for-12 from the floor, adding four rebounds and a blocked shot in 37 minutes on the court.
- Junior guard Jaidn Green (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North) scored eight points, along with seven rebounds and three assists.
- Senior guard Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) handed out a game-high nine assists. She added eight points and a pair of rebounds.
- Junior center Eleanor Harris (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) recorded eight points as well. She also had two assists, two rebounds and a steal.
- Senior forward Sofie Carr (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds, along with two blocks, two points and a team-high two steals.
- Junior guard Lia Chudzik (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) tallied three points, two assists and two rebounds.
- Freshman guard Maeve Egan (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) posted three points, three rebounds and a blocked shot.
- Redshirt junior guard Hayley Macdonald (Canberra, Australia/Williston State/Lake Ginninderra) added five rebounds, four assists, two points and a steal.
