Maddie Manzke (Orland Park, Ill./Keiser/Webber International/Warner/Sandburg) netted her second goal of the season, freshman defender
Kalea Marshall (Carbondale, Ill./Carbondale Community) scored her first collegiate goal and junior goalkeeper
Natalie Dybas (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) made eight saves for the Cougars.
- Senior midfielder Veronica Davila (Bourbonnais, Ill./Governors State/Bradley-Bourbonnais) and freshman midfielder Paige Swaw (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) each had two shots on goal on two shot attempts for SXU, respectively. Swaw played all 90 minutes of the match, while Davila saw 58 minutes of playing time off the bench.
- Junior forward Alex Jonaitis (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) came away with two shot attempts and one shot on goal in 79 minutes on the pitch.
- Manzke, Marshall and junior defender Allison Ihms (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East), who made her first start of the season, each finished with one shot attempt and one shot on goal.
- Marshall gave Saint Xavier an early 1-0 lead in the ninth minute.
- Manzke put the Cougars up 2-0 in the 34th minute and they would carry the advantage into halftime.
- SXU could not hold the momentum in the second half as the Pilots scored three goals in the fine 30 minutes of the match. BU got on the board with a goal in the 62nd minute, scoring the tying goal in the 76th minute and the go-ahead goal in the 88th minute.
- Saint Xavier had a chance to retie the match when Manzke sent a corner kick towards the goal in the 89th minute, however the opportunity was turned away.
Saint Xavier (1-2-1/0-0 CCAC) travels to Indianapolis, Ind. to take on No. 6 Marian University (Ind.) in the final regular season non-conference match for the Cougars this season. The contest is scheduled for a 6:00 pm central start.
