KANSAS CITY, Mo. – 27 student-athletes from the Saint Xavier University that participated in Winter Sports: men's and women' basketball, men's and women's bowling and competitive dance were named Winter NAIA Scholar-Athletes when the awards were announced by the national office Tuesday morning. To be eligible, a student must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher and be enrolled at the school for a calendar year.
The women's basketball team and the men's bowling team, each had the highest representation with eight student-athletes claiming scholar-athlete recognition. Men's basketball had five honorees, women's bowling had four, and competitive dance had two scholar-athletes.
