KANSAS CITY, Mo. – 52 student-athletes from the Saint Xavier University that participated in Spring Sports: baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field, men's volleyball and softball were named Spring NAIA Scholar-Athletes when the awards were announced by the national office Wednesday morning. To be eligible, a student must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher and be enrolled at the school for a calendar year.
The softball program had the highest representation with 14 student-athletes claiming scholar-athlete recognition, followed by baseball with 12, men's track and field with 10, men's volleyball and women's track and field each with six, women's golf with three and men's golf with one scholar-athlete.
