CHICAGO – Six student-athletes from the Saint Xavier University men's basketball team (11-17, 9-11 CCAC) were named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) All-Academic Team when the team was announced by the league office Thursday morning. Redshirt junior guard
Mason Kibelkis (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) earned his third All-Academic Team selection. A trio of players repeated their academic achievements: redshirt sophomore guard
Brandon Botley (South Holland, Ill./Thornton, Township), redshirt sophomore guard
Jordan Streeter (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) and junior forward
Marko Tojagic (Belgrade, Serbia/Saint Andrews). Senior guard
Ashton Atwater (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Valley/Ostego) and junior guard
Landon Rivers (Chicago, Ill./Arizona Compass Prep) are first time honorees. To be eligible, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 grade point average (GPA) and be enrolled at their current institution for at least one calendar year.
- Atwater carries a 3.37 GPA as a Digital Marketing major.
- Botley, who also was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete earlier in the week, is a Business Management major with a 3.51 GPA.
- Kibelkis, an NAIA Scholar-Athlete as well, holds a 3.59 GPA while majoring in Psychology.
- Rivers, also an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, majors in Business Management, posting a 3.88 GPA away from the court.
- Streeter claimed NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors this week, is also a Business Management major, sporting a 3.69 GPA.
- Tojagic, joined his teammates as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, is a Computer Science major with a 3.92 GPA in the classroom.
