Dybas Stops 19 shots; SXU Falls to No. 19 SAU, 1-0

Spring Arbor, Mich. – Senior goalkeeper Natalie Dybas (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) made a career-high 19 saves, but the Saint Xavier University women's soccer team (1-3, 0-0 CCAC) couldn't find the equalizer in a 1-0 loss to No. 19 Spring Arbor University (Mich.) Wednesday evening in Spring Arbor, Mich. The 19 stops by Dybas are tied for the second-most in a match in team history along with former standout Jenny Falkhall (1997-99), who made 19 saves at former NAIA program Transylvania University (Ky.) on September 3, 1999. Alex Perry (2013-16) holds the SXU single-match record for saves with 20 at Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) on October 4, 2016.
  • It was the second match this year that Dybas has made 10 or more saves, and she has 46 so far through four matches
  • The visiting Cougars were outshot by the host Cougars, 40-1, with sophomore midfielder Angelica Flores (Chicago, Ill./Hubbard) recording the shot attempt for Saint Xavier.
