  • Rouse was named the fifth head coach in SXU baseball history in August of 2020
  • In 2022, Rouse guided the Cougars to a 40-14-1 record. This marked the first 40-win season for SXU baseball since 2009. Saint Xavier led the CCAC with their 8 All-Conference Selections and had the CCAC Freshman of the Year award winner for the second straight season.
  • In his first season, Rouse led the Cougars to a 32-27 record and to the NAIA Opening Round Tournament Bellevue (Neb.) Bracket. Saint Xavier ranked No. 2 in the NAIA in total assists with 564 and No. 6 in stolen bases with 146, the third most in program history.
  • Under Rouse’s leadership, the SXU baseball program has received the American Baseball Coaches Association Academic Excellence Award in back to back seasons.
  • Rouse comes to Chicago after serving as the head coach for four years at Salem University (W. Va.), where he led the Tigers to a program record in wins during the 2019 campaign. Five players under Rouse’s guidance were named All-East Coach Athletic Conference selections, and the team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association’s Team Academic Excellence Award in three of the past four seasons. In 2018, Rouse guided Salem to their best winning percentage since the program’s move to NCAA Division II.
  • Prior to Salem, Rouse was the head coach at Eastern Nazarene College (Mass.), where he led his players to multiple All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selections and the CCAC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
  • Rouse graduated form Brescia Univeristy (Ky.), where as a student-athlete he won a KIAC championship and had two appearances in the NAIA tournament as a KIAC All-Academic Team selection.
