Chandler Kerr starts his first season as head assistant coach at Saint Xavier after being the graduate assistant for the previous two seasons. In his previous two seasons with the Cougars working with the pitchers, the SXU has had 5 pitchers receive All-Conference honors and one received the 2025 CCAC Pitcher of the Year.
In 2025, the Saint Xavier pitching staff led the conference in strikeouts (363), batting average against (.276), shutouts (6). and had the lowest ERA (5.13)Â and WHIP (1.48). Along with leading the conference in those categories, the pitching staff also ranked in the top-25 nationally in the NAIA in WHIP and shutouts, while also ranking top 10 in school history in the following categories of: Fewest BB/9, K/9, and Shutouts. Also during his tenure, three pitchers have signed Independent League contracts after graduation.
Kerr pitched at Concordia University-Chicago (NCAA DIII) and was a two-time NACC Scholar-Athlete. He graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Sports Management, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Exercise Science at Saint Xavier.
