Before joining SXU, Morrow was a graduate assistant and then an assistant coach at Earlham College (Ind.) the previous three seasons (2021-23). Prior to coaching with the Quakers, he was an assistant coach at Wilmington College (Ohio). Morrow is a graduate from Indiana University East (2016) and earned his master’s degree in education from Earlham in 2022.

While at EC, the Quakers appeared in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) championship twice in three seasons, taking home the crown in 2022. In 2021 at Earlham, they finished third in NCAA Division III in stolen bases (130), while also finishing first in the country in stolen base success rate (90%) of any team that had at least 100 stolen bases or more. His hitting success as a coach was evident as well, as he helped Earlham College have its best statistical offensive single-season in
program history during the 2022 campaign as the team broke single-season records for home runs (36), batting average (.321), RBI (330), runs scored (377), doubles (95), and walks (235). The Quakers were also top three in NCAA D-III in hits (442) and triples (18). In his first season at Wilmington in 2018, Morrow helped the Quakers break the program single-season record for stolen bases and was instrumental in helping players earn All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) First and Second Team honors.
