CHICAGO – Prior to their regular season finale, the Saint Xavier University men's soccer team (8-6-4, 6-5 CCAC) honored seven seniors on 'Senior Day' but would fall to Trinity Christian College (Ill.), 3-0, in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest Saturday afternoon at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago, Ill. The seven seniors honored in the pregame ceremony: midfielder

Bernardo Dominguez (Elgin, Ill./Rock Valley/Belvidere), defender
Axel Gongora (Cicero, Ill./Mount Carmel), defender
Donato Lagunas (Midlothian, Ill./Bremen), midfielder
Andy Lomeli (Dyer, Ind./Roosevelt/Valparaiso/Lake Central), defender
Bruno Ortiz (Chicago, Ill./South Suburban/Bremen) and goalkeeper
Andres Zamora (Cicero, Ill./Morton East).
- Sophomore defender/midfielder Daniel Diaz (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) and junior forward Pablo Guerrero (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) each totaled three shot attempts and a shot on goal for the Cougars, respectively.
- Sophomore defender/midfielder Jessie Cardiel (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) also had a shot attempt for SXU while playing the full 90 minutes.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Osvaldo Ramirez (Chicago, Ill./Goode STEM Academy) posted three saves in his fourth start of the season and saw his record move to 1-1-2.
- The Trolls struck first with a goal in the third minute off of a semi-breakaway on a rush from the left side.
- TCC made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute on a throw-in pass that was headed in front of the net and was headed again for the goal.
- Trinity Christian capped the scoring in the 62nd minute on a broken play that left the net open.
Saint Xavier (8-6-4/6-5 CCAC) now prepares for the CCAC Tournament that begins on Saturday, November 4. Opponent, time and location will be announced by the league office early next week.
