Louisa Schreiber (Bonndorf, Germany/Morton/Hans-Thoma-Schule) added an assist as Saint Xavier University women's soccer (7-3-5/5-3-3 CCAC) finished the regular season with a 1-1 draw vs. Trinity Christian College (Ill.) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest Saturday afternoon at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago, Ill. Freshman goalkeeper
Natalie Dybas (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) finished with three saves and has her record move to 5-2-4 on the season, the most ties for an SXU goalkeeper since Hall-of-Famer Kelly Rank (1999-02) went 9-5-5 in the 2001 campaign. Saint Xavier now awaits its seeding in the CCAC Tournament that begins on Friday, November 3.
- Schreiber recorded 12 shot attempts in the match, the most by a Cougar since the record has been kept since the 2007 season. She also had seven shots on goal.
- Jonaitis tallied four shot attempts with three shots on goal.
- Sophomore midfielder Veronica Davila (Bourbonnais, Ill./Governors State/Bradley-Bourbonnais) added two shot attempts and two shots on goal in 45 minutes on the pitch.
- SXU out-shot the Trolls by a 20-13 margin, with 15 of the attempts coming in the second half on a windy afternoon.
- Jonaitis took a pass from Schreiber and put a shot past the TCC goalkeeper off of a semi-breakaway in the 30th minute for her sixth goal of the year. The assist for Schreiber gives her a team-leading 19 points (nine goals, one assist) to Jonaitis' 18 (six goals, six assists).
- Trinity Christian scored the tying goal :23 before halftime on a free kick off and a scrabble in front of the net.
Saint Xavier (7-3-5/5-3-3 CCAC) starts postseason play in the CCAC Tournament on Friday, November 3. Opponent, time and location will be announced by the league office early next week.
