Natalie Dybas (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) posted a game-high six saves, four coming in the second half, for the Cougars and now has 27 stops on the season.
- The Fighting Saints controlled the pace of the match, outshooting the Cougars 26-9, though they only had eight shots on goal to SXU's four.
- Junior midfielder/forward Louisa Schreiber (Bonndorf, Germany/Morton/Hans-Thoma-Schule) led the Saint Xavier attack with three shot attempts, and she had two shots on goal in 45 minutes.
- Freshman forward Alex Jonaitis (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) had two shot attempts in 64 minutes on the pitch.
- USF scored in the 43rd minute just before halftime to hold the lead at the break.
- In the 72nd minute, sophomore midfielder Veronica Davila (Bourbonnais, Ill./Governors State/Bradley-Bourbonnais) sent a corner kick in and Henry corralled the pass and sent a shot past the goalkeeper to square the match at 1-1. It was Davila's first assist of the year.
- St. Francis scored the winning goal in the 84th minute when a header hit the crossbar and the rebound was knocked in.
Saint Xavier (4-2-3/2-2-1 CCAC) returns to Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field for the first time in almost a month when the take on No. 18 Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) on Wednesday, October 11. The match is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start.
