Joliet, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (1-2, 0-0 CCAC) lost to No. 6 Marian University (Ind.) 82-43 in the Catholic Classic hosted by University of St. Francis (Ill.) Friday evening at the Sullivan Center in Joliet, Ill. Junior forward
Alyssa Crenshaw (Algonquin, Ill./Dundee-Crown) finished with a team-high 11 points with four rebounds. She was also 7-for-7 from the free throw line in 20 minutes of playing time.
- Sophomore center Eleanor Harris (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) tallied five points, four rebounds, two blocks and she had a steal.
- Freshman guard Sarah Barakat (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) made her collegiate debut and scored five points in three minutes off the bench.
- Junior forward Sofie Carr (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) collected four points, three rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal in 18 minutes of action.
- Junior guard Hayley Macdonald (Canberra, Australia/Williston State/Lake Ginninderra) came away with three points, three steals and two rebounds.
- Junior guard Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) handed out a game-best six assists, along with three rebounds and two points.
- Freshman guard Madyson Kibelkis (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) scored her first collegiate points after making a pair of foul shots. She also had two steals and a rebound in eight minutes off the bench.
- Freshman forward Delaney Panozzo (Grant Park, Ill./Grant Park) joined her teammates in scoring her first collegiate basket and she had a steal in six minutes of playing time.
Saint Xavier (1-2/0-0 CCAC) wraps up play in the Catholic Classic when they face University of Saint Francis (Ind.) on Saturday, November 11 in Joliet, Ill. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 pm tip-off.
