Palos Heights, Ill. – Three players finished in double-figures, including by a game-best 18 points from junior guard Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) as Saint Xavier University women's basketball (4-5, 3-1 CCAC) picked up a 74-56 victory over Trinity Christian College (Ill.) Saturday afternoon in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest at DeVos Gymnasium in Palos Heights, Ill. For Derrell it was a season-high in scoring after shooting 50.0 percent (6-for-12) from the field. She added nine assists, the seventh time this season that she handed out five or more assists in game, a season-best four steals and three rebounds. SXU came away with a season-high 20 steals in the game and forced 29 turnovers.

• Sophomore guard Jaidn Green (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North) scored 16 points, tied her season-best with seven rebounds and had a pair of assists in 28 minutes of action.
• Senior guard Bethany Baldwin (Watersmeet, Mich./Finlandia/Triton/Watersmeet) tallied 10 points, seven rebounds and a season-high four steals in 23 minutes on the court.
• Junior forward Alyssa Crenshaw (Algonquin, Ill./Dundee Crown) pulled down 10 rebounds (six offensive), along with eight points, a career-best six steals and an assist.
• Junior guard Jenna Hernandez (Homer Glen, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy) posted eight points, three assists and a pair of rebounds.
• Sophomore center Eleanor Harris (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) chipped in seven rebounds, four points, four steals and a block.
• The teams traded the lead through most of the first quarter and Trinity Christian held a 13-10 lead with 3:29 left. Derrell tied the game off an assist from Hernandez to fuel a 23-4 run by the Cougars over the next seven minutes that overlapped into the second period. Green scored 10 of her 16 points in the first 10 minutes, while Derrell had eight points and five assists. Saint Xavier limited the Trolls to nine points in the second quarter and held a 42-26 advantage at the break.
• SXU shot 47.4 percent (9-for-19) in the third period and maintained its double-digit lead, 63-37, heading into the final frame. Hernandez scored five points in the quarter, while Baldwin and Harris added four points for the Cougars. Saint Xavier struggled in the fourth period from the field, only making one shot on 17 attempts (5.9 percent), but they were 8-of-10 from the foul line. Crenshaw had four points, four rebounds and two steals. The win improves SXU's record in the CCAC to 3-1 and moving them into a tie for second place in the conference.

Saint Xavier (4-5/3-1 CCAC) hosts Indiana University Northwest at the Shannon Center in a CCAC matchup on Saturday, December 16. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 pm start on Bob Hallberg Court.
