Box Score CHICAGO – Freshman outside hitter Jan Lopuch (Krakow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Sportowe) finished with a match-high and career-high 17 kills on a .387 attack percentage (17-5-31), fellow freshman opposite hitter Oskar Krzyzak (Rzeszow, Poland/Szkota Mistrzostwa Sportowego Rzeszow) recorded 15 kills and sophomore outside hitter Kegan Olig (Fond du Loc, Wis./Fond du Loc) collected 11 kills to lead the No. 12 ranked Saint Xavier University men's volleyball team (7-1/3-0 CCAC) to a 3-1 victory (25-18, 25-21, 21-15, 25-23) over No. 13 Indiana Tech University in a battle of Top 15 teams Tuesday night at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. The Cougars extended their winning streak to seven in a row and finished the match with a season-high 58 kills and 37 digs.
- Lopuch also had six digs, two blocks (one solo) and an assist, Krzyzak had five digs, three blocks (one solo) and an assist and Olig recorded two blocks.
- Senior setter Noah Randall (Plainfield, Ill./Quincy/Plainfield Central) posted a season-high 45 assists, a season-best seven digs and had one kill.
- Junior middle blocker Jake McClain (Homer Glen, Ill./Marist) tallied eight kills on a .538 attack percentage (8-1-13) and added two blocks.
- Senior middle blocker Drew Ehlers (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) registered six kills, a season-high four digs, two blocks, an assist and a service ace.
- Freshman libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) continued his stellar play defensively, scooping a match-best 13 digs and added four assists.
- It was the third consecutive match that SXU had a team attack percentage of .300 or better at .305 (58-22-118) and they improved to 2-1 against opponents ranked in the Top 15 NAIA Men's Volleyball Coaches' Poll this season.
No. 12 Saint Xavier (7-1/3-0 CCAC) hosts Trinity International University (Ill.) in conference play on Thursday, February 16 at the Shannon Center. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start.
