Box Score Davenport, Iowa – Freshman outside hitter Jan Lopuch (Krakow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Sportowe) recorded a match-high 13 kills on a stellar .706 attack percentage (13-1-17) and added four digs, while senior middle blocker Drew Ehlers (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) had 10 kills on a .714 attack percentage (10-0-14), one assist, a service ace and a solo block to guide the No. 12 ranked Saint Xavier University men's volleyball team (8-2/4-0 CCAC) to a 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-13, 25-14) over St. Ambrose University in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) competition Monday evening at the Lee Lohman Arena in Davenport, Iowa. The Cougars posted a team attack percentage of .457 (47-10-81), their best mark of the season so far. Their 47 kills in the win are now tied for fourth-most in a three-set win in program history
- Junior middle blocker Jake McClain (Homer Glen, Ill./Marist) had an attack percentage of .800 on 10 attempts, finishing with eight kills and a block.
- Freshman opposite hitter Oskar Krzyzak (Rzeszow, Poland/Szkota Mistrzostwa Sportowego Rzeszow) collected eight kills as well, along with five digs, an ace and an assist.
- Sophomore outside hitter Kegan Olig (Fond du Loc, Wis./Fond du Loc) also had eight kills for SXU.
- Senior setter Noah Randall (Plainfield, Ill./Quincy/Plainfield Central) registered 34 assists, six digs and a service ace.
- Freshman libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) continued his tough play defensively by scooping up a match-best 11 digs. He also had four assists and an ace in the win.
No. 12 Saint Xavier (8-2/4-0 CCAC) travels to Goshen, Ind. to play Goshen College in non-conference action on Wednesday, February 22. The match is scheduled for a 6:00 pm central start.
