Box Score CHICAGO – Freshman opposite hitter Oskar Krzyzak (Rzeszow, Poland/Szkota Mistrzostwa Sportowego Rzeszow) had quite the night for No. 12 Saint Xavier University men's volleyball (4-1/2-0 CCAC) as he racked up 18 kills on a .630 attack percentage (18-1-27), the sixth-best single-match attack percentage in team history (minimum 20 attempts), and posted five blocks, two digs and a service ace to guide the Cougars to a three-set victory (25-18, 25-16, 25-22) over No. 14 Aquinas College (Mich.) Friday evening at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. Krzyzak ended up with 18 of the team's 35 kills and totaled 21.5 points on the night. The win extends Saint Xavier's winning streak to four consecutive matches.
- Senior middle blocker Drew Ehlers (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) tallied eight kills on a .727 attack percentage (8-0-11) with four blocks (one solo), two aces and two digs.
- Senior setter Noah Randall (Plainfield, Ill./Quincy/Plainfield Central) finished with 31 assists, three digs and a service ace.
- Junior middle blocker Jake McClain (Homer Glen, Ill./Marist) came away with four kills and a block, while freshman libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) scooped up a team-high six digs.
- Junior middle blocker John Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) tied his season-high with four blocks and added a dig and a kill.
- Freshman outside hitter Aedan Vanegas (Rochester, N.Y./Spencerport) made his collegiate debut and registerd a service ace on his first serve. He finished with three aces on the evening and had a dig.
- Freshman outside hitter Jan Lopuch (Krakow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Sportowe) collected four digs, three kills, two blocks, an ace and an assist.
No. 12 Saint Xavier (4-1/2-0 CCAC) returns to conference action when they host Olivet Nazarene University on Tuesday, February 7. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start.
