MILWAUKEE – No. 11 ranked Saint Xavier University men's volleyball (18-4/10-1 CCAC) defeated Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) in three sets (25-15, 25-15, 25-15) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Monday evening at Panella Court in Milwaukee, Wis. Freshman opposite hitter Oskar Krzyzak (Rzeszow, Poland/Szkota Mistrzostwa Sportowego Rzeszow) finished with a match-high nine kills on an impressive .529 attack percentage (9-0-17) and added two digs, an assist, a block and a service ace. Overall, SXU recorded a team attack percentage of .441 (38-8-68), the fifth time this season that the Cougars have had a team attack percentage of .400 or better.

• Freshman outside hitter Jan Lopuch (Krakow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Sportowe) finished with a team-best eight digs, along with eight kills and two aces.
• Junior outside hitter Vejas Cuplinskas (Riverside, Ill./Riverside Brookfield) posted an attack percentage of .583 (8-1-12) with three digs, two blocks, an assist and a service ace.
• Junior middle blocker John Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) came away with seven kills off a .500 attack percentage (7-1-12) and had a block.
• Senior middle blocker Drew Ehlers (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) registered six kills, a match-high four blocks, an assist and a dig.
• Junior setter Jason Klein (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) dished out 28 assists and had three digs and a block.
• Freshman libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) finished with five assists and five digs, while junior middle blocker Jake McClain (Homer Glen, Ill./Marist) chipped in two blocks (one solo) and a dig.

No. 11 Saint Xavier (18-4/10-1 CCAC) has another quick turnaround, heading to Bourbonnais, Ill. to take on Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) on Tuesday, March 21. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm first serve.
