Gary, Ind. – Junior setter
Kaleigh Ritter (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) recorded 44 assists, her third consecutive match with 40 or more assists, and 18 digs, her seventh straight match with 10 or more digs, to help lead Saint Xavier University women's volleyball (9-6, 7-1 CCAC) to a four-set triumph over Indiana University Northwest (18-25,25-21,25-19,25-2) Saturday afternoon in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play in Gary, Ind., pushing SXU's winning streak to seven in a row. Ritter added three kills and three service aces, giving her a team-high 32 aces on the season.
- Junior outside hitter Connie LeBel (Crestwood, Ill./DePaul/Ferris State/Mother McAuley) posted a match-high tying 17 kills, along with 17 digs, two assists and two service aces.
- Sophomore outside hitter Jenny Jensen (Orland Park, Ill./Cardinal Stritch/Sandburg) set a new career-high in kills, collecting 15 on a .343 attack percentage (15-3-35), and added a block and a dig.
- Senior middle blocker Courtney Hunter (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) came away with 12 kills on a .310 attack percentage (12-3-29), two digs and a block assist.
- Junior opposite hitter Abby Gentile (Blissfield, Mich./Lourdes/Blissfield) tallied five kills, four digs and a block.
- Sophomore libero Ariel Hoskin (Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove South) scooped up 11 digs, with four assists and two aces. It was the fourth straight match that she had 10 or more digs and the 10th time overall in 15 matches.
- Sophomore defensive specialist Katie DeHaan (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) registered 11 digs as well, the fifth time that she has had 10 or more digs this year. She also recorded her first two kills of the season in the win.
Saint Xavier (9-6/7-1 CCAC) welcomes Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) to the Shannon Center on Tuesday, October 3 in a CCAC matchup. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start.
