Elgin, Ill. – A 36-point outburst in the second quarter allowed the Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (4-4, 1-1 CCAC) to turn a 17-10 lead after the first quarter into a 53-23 over Judson University (Ill.) at halftime, enroute to a 94-62 road victory in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Tuesday evening at the Lindner Center in Elgin, Ill. Jaidn Green (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North) finished with a game-high 25 points on 11-for-16 shooting (68.8 percent) while adding three rebounds, two steals and an assist.
- Ogarek went 5-for-8 from the floor with four rebounds (three offensive), two assists and a steal in just 13 minutes.
- Senior guard Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) recorded nine points, a team-best five assists, two steals and a rebound.
- Freshman forward Veronica Bafia (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) tallied eight points, a team-high six rebounds, a career-best five steals, two assists and a blocked shot.
- Junior center Eleanor Harris (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) made her first start of the season, collecting six points, four rebounds, three steals, two assists and a block.
- Sophomore guard Madyson Kibelkis (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) posted a season-best five points, a career-high tying four rebounds and a steal.
- Junior guard Lia Chudzik (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) came away with four points, four rebounds, three steals and an assist in 13 minutes off the bench.
- Freshman guard Taylor Burcham (Galena, Ill./Galena) established career-bests in points (four) and rebounds (four), along with a pair of steals, an assist and a blocked shot.
- Senior forward Sofie Carr (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) also scored four points with four rebounds and an assist.
Saint Xavier (4-4/0-1 CCAC) returns to the court on Saturday, December 7 when the host Governors State University (Ill.) at the Shannon Center. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 pm start on Bob Hallberg Court in Chicago, Ill.
