INDIANAPOLIS – Junior guard
Jaidn Green (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North) drained three three-pointers on six attempts and finished 5-for-9 overall from the field to post a team-best 13 points for Saint Xavier University women's basketball (0-3, 0-0 CCAC) in a 78-59 setback to Marian University (Ind.) Saturday afternoon in the Catholic Classic in Indianapolis, Ind. Green saw 38 minutes of action and she had three rebounds, a season-high three steals and two assists for the Cougars.
- Graduate student guard/forward Ryann Ogarek (Joliet, Ill./Benedictine/Lewis/Providence Catholic) came away with a season-high 12 points on 6-for-13 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 36 minutes on the court.
- Senior guard Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) tallied nine points, and was 6-for-7 from the foul line, along with four rebounds, three assists and a steal.
- Senior forward Alyssa Crenshaw (Algonquin, Ill./Dundee-Crown) scored eight points, making all three of her shot attempts and a pair of free throws, while adding a team-high six rebounds (two offensive) and an assist.
- Freshman forward Veronica Bafia (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) finished with eight points and recorded the only block for SXU.
- Junior center Eleanor Harris (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) collected four points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal in 14 minutes off the bench.
- Freshman guard Maeve Egan (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) added three points, while freshman guard Taylor Burcham (Galena, Ill./Galena) scored her first collegiate basket.
Saint Xavier (0-3/0-0 CCAC) returns to the Shannon Center on Monday, November 11 when they host Indiana University Columbus. The game is set for a 5:00 pm start in Chicago, Ill.
