CHICAGO – Junior outside hitter Matt Pennala (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach City/St. John Bosco) was one of three players for No. 11 Saint Xavier University men's volleyball (9-8/4-0 CCAC) to record 10 or more kills, finishing with a match-high 19, to help lead the Cougars to a four-set win (22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-22) over No. 15 Indiana Tech University Friday evening on Bob Hallberg Court at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. Pennala added seven digs, two assists and two service aces. It was the third consecutive win for SXU and their second triumph over an NAIA Top 15 opponent this season.

• Sophomore outside hitter Jan Lopuch (Krakow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Sportowego) tallied 13 kills, nine digs, two aces and an assist.
• Redshirt junior middle blocker Shane Ooms (Shorewood, Ill./Minooka Community) collected 13 kills on a .346 attack percentage (13-4-26), along with five blocks (two solos), two digs and a service ace.
• Fifth-year senior setter Christian Oviedo (Brea, Calif./Concordia-Irvine/Servite) handed out a season-high 39 assists and he had five digs.
• Junior middle blocker Alessandro Gianotti (Desio, Italy/Brigham Young/Leonardo Da Vinci) recorded five blocks (one solo) and five kills.
• Fifth-year senior middle blocker Drew Ehlers (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) came away with five kills, two assists, two digs and a solo block.
• Freshman setter Cameron Daniels (Omaha, Neb./Millard West) registered five assists, five digs, two aces, two blocks and a kill.
• Sophomore libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) scooped up a match-leading 12 digs, his ninth match with 10 or more digs this year, with three digs.
• Junior outside hitter Sean Carey (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) added three digs and a pair of assists.

No. 11 Saint Xavier (9-8/3-0 CCAC) hosts Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest on Tuesday, March 19 at the Shannon Center. The match is slated for a 7:00 pm first serve.
