Marcos Nunez (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) placed third in the Great Lakes Esports Conference (GLEC) Tournament this weekend at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The Overwatch squad of 'alphabet' sophomore
William Barquero Roman (Miami, Fla./Archimedean Upper Conservatory), 'Twifts' senior
Malachi Beard (Evergreen Park, Ill./Evergreen Park), 'Citronboss27' sophomore
Michael Guzaitis (Tinley Park, Ill./Marist) and 'Glocktopus' senior
Michael Hamm (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) also competed and finished in eighth place.
Awards for regular season performances were also handed out with
Marcos Nunez earning All-GLEC First Team honors for Rocket League. Overwatch had two players claim All-GLEC recognition, with
William Barquero Roman being named All-GLEC First Team and
Timothy Novak earning All-GLEC Second Team honors. Rounding out the awards, head coach Lemar Daniels was named the GLEC Director of the Year as SXU had the regular season champions in the Fall with the Valorant Team of 'Ray' freshman

Sebastian Szuba (Justice, Ill./Moraine Valley/Argo Community) going undefeated during the regular season to claim the Michigan Division crown. Rocket League came away with the Michigan Division regular season title during the Spring campaign.
Rocket League:
- On Friday morning, Saint Xavier defeated Ohio Northern University by a score of 4-2, however the suffered a 4-2 defeat to Tiffin University (Ohio) in the semifinals Friday afternoon.
- The Cougars bounced back on Saturday to take down Bethel University (Ind.) in the third-place match.
Overwatch:
- Overwatch began the GLEC Tournament with a match against Albion College (Mich.) Friday morning but came up short, 3-2.
- They returned to action Friday evening, taking on Ohio Northern in the elimination bracket. The Polar Bears came away with a 3-0 victory.
- In the seventh-place match on Saturday morning, the Cougars matched up with Valparaiso University (Ind.). They lost to the Beacons by a score of 3-1.
