Davenport, Iowa – Freshman setter
Cameron Daniels (Omaha, Neb./Millard West) totaled 22 assists, a career-high six service aces, five digs and a kill to help guide No. 10 Saint Xavier University men's volleyball (15-8/8-0 CCAC) to a 3-0 victory (25-12, 26-24, 25-17) over St. Ambrose University (Iowa) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest at Lee Lohman Arena Tuesday evening in Davenport, Iowa. The Cougars tallied a season-best 11 aces on the night, and it was just the second time this season that they have had 10 or more aces in a match, also against St. Ambrose, when they had 10 service aces on February 17. The win pushes SXU's win streak to nine consecutive matches.
- Sophomore outside hitter Oskar Krzyzak (Nowy Sacz, Poland/Szkota Mistrzostwa Sportowego Rzeszów) finished with a team-leading eight kills, along with four digs and three blocks.
- Junior outside hitter Kegan Olig (Fond du Loc, Wis./Fond du Loc) recorded six kills, three blocks and an ace.
- Senior middle blocker Jake McClain (Homer Glen, Ill./Marist) also had six kills for Saint Xavier with a block, a dig and a service ace.
- Senior middle blocker John Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) registered four kills on five attack attempts and he added a block.
- Junior outside hitter Sean Carey (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) posted four digs, three kills and a block.
- sophomore outside hitter Jan Lopuch (Krakow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Sportowego) came away with a pair of kills, an ace and a solo block.
- Redshirt junior middle blocker Shane Ooms (Shorewood, Ill./Minooka Community) had three blocks, two kills, a dig and a service ace.
- Junior outside hitter Matt Pennala (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach City/St. John Bosco) added two kills, an ace and a dig.
- Fifth-year senior setter Christian Oviedo (Brea, Calif./Concordia-Irvine/Servite) handed out eight assists and had a dig in one set, while sophomore libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) chipped in a team-best six digs with four assists.
No. 10 Saint Xavier (15-8/8-0 CCAC) hosts a tri-match on Saturday, April 6 at the Shannon Center and will celebrate 'Senior Day.' The Cougars play Viterbo University (Wis.) in CCAC action at 11:00 am and Cornerstone University (Mich.) at 3:00 pm. The V-Hawks and Golden Eagles face off in between at 1:00 pm.
