Elgin, Ill. – Junior outside hitter Matt Pennala (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach City/St. John Bosco) posted a match-best 15 kills to help lead No. 7 Saint Xavier University men's volleyball (18-8/10-0 CCAC) to a 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-14, 25-17) over Judson University (Ill.) Tuesday evening at the Lindner Fitness Center in Elgin, Ill. to win the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) regular season championship. It is the fourth consecutive season that the Cougars have won the title and it's the third time in four seasons that they have gone undefeated in conference play. SXU finished with a team attack percentage of .343 (36-12-70), their sixth straight match with an attack percentage of .300 or better.

• Pennala added four digs, two assists, two blocks and two service aces.
• Fifth-year senior setter Christian Oviedo (Brea, Calif./Concordia-Irvine/Servite) dished out 27 assists and scooped up three digs.
• Sophomore libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) tallied 12 digs, his third consecutive match with 10 or more digs.
• Fifth-year senior middle blocker Drew Ehlers (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) collected six kills, four blocks (two solos) and a dig.
• Sophomore outside hitter Jan Lopuch (Krakow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Sportowego) also had six kills, along with four digs, three solo blocks, two aces and an assist.
• Junior outside hitter Sean Carey (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) came away with four kills, a dig and a solo block.
• Sophomore outside hitter Oskar Krzyzak (Nowy Sacz, Poland/Szkota Mistrzostwa Sportowego Rzeszów) registered three kills, a dig and a solo block.
• Freshman setter Cameron Daniels (Omaha, Neb./Millard West) totaled four assists and a dig, while redshirt-junior middle blocker Shane Ooms (Shorewood, Ill./Minooka Community) had two kills.

No. 7 Saint Xavier (18-8/9-0 CCAC) wraps up regular season play when they host No. 13 Lourdes University (Ohio) at the Shannon Center on Friday, April 12. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm first serve.
