South Bend, Ind. – Senior setter Kaleigh Ritter (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) made her season debut and etched her name in the program history books after recorded 14 assists to become just the seventh player in team history to record 3,000 or more career assists to help Saint Xavier University women's volleyball (4-5, 1-0 CCAC) win its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) opener over Indiana University South Bend in three sets (25-22, 25-14, 26-24) Thursday evening at the Student Activities Center in South Bend, Ind. Ritter added four digs, three kills, a block and a service ace as the Cougars won their fourth consecutive match.

• Senior outside hitter Connie LeBel (Crestwood, Ill./DePaul/Ferris State/Mother McAuley) posted a match-best 10 kills on a spectacular .526 attack percentage (10-0-19), along with nine digs.
• Fifth-year senior middle blocker Courtney Hunter (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) tallied eight kills on a .357 attack percentage (8-3-14) with three blocks (one solo) and three digs.
• Redshirt junior setter Samantha Hovey (Mackinaw, Ill./Heartland/Dee-Mack) issued 17 a match-high 17 assists, as well as coming away with a dig and a kill.
• Senior outside hitter Delaney Davis (Chicago, Ill./South Carolina State/Mother McAuley) collected six kills, three digs and a block.
• Senior outside hitter Abby Gentile (Blissfield, Mich./Lourdes/Blissfield) recorded four kills, a block and a dig.
• Junior outside hitter Jenny Jensen (Orland Park, Ill./Cardinal Stritch/Sandburg) came away with four kills and a block, while junior middle blocker Nicole Grochola (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) added three kills, an assist and a dig.
• Redshirt junior libero Avanna Martinez (Coamo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Ponceno) registered six assists and six digs.
• SXU finished with a season-best .390 team attack percentage (42-12-77), their second straight match with an attack percentage of .300 or better.

Saint Xavier (4-5/0-0 CCAC) plays in its home opener against Governors State University (Ill.) in CCAC action on Tuesday, September 10. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm first serve at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill.
