Palos Heights, Ill. – Redshirt sophomore guard Mason Kibelkis (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) scored 15 of his career-high 18 points in the second half to help lead Saint Xavier University men's basketball (15-6, 10-3 CCAC) to a 95-76 victory over Trinity Christian College Wednesday evening in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play at the DeVos Gymnasium in Palos Heights, Ill. Kibelkis was 5-for-7 from three-point range in the second half, and was 6-for-9 overall from beyond the arc, along with two rebounds in just minutes of action.

Trailing by as many as seven points, 56-49, at the 15:22 mark in the second half, Kibelkis responded hit a trey on the next possession. With 11:23 left in regulation, Kibelkis gave the Cougars the lead for good, draining consecutive threes to spark a 16-2 run to help SXU pull away for the road win. Overall, Saint Xavier shot a season-best 61.7 percent (37-for-60) from the field, including shooting a season-high 55.6 percent (15-for-27) from deep. The Cougars added 20 assists, their third straight game with 20 or more assists.

• Senior forward Kevin Bishop (Cleveland, Ohio/Pikeville/Parkland/Cleveland Benedictine) tallied 17 points on efficient 8-for-9 shooting, along with six rebounds, two blocked shots and two steals.
• Senior guard Jordan Jackson (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northwood/Wilmington/East Kentwood) went 6-for-10 from the floor, finishing with 15 points. He added six rebounds, four assists, a season-high tying four blocks and a steal.
• Senior guard Sando Hill (Vanoss, Okla./Lyon/Seminole State/Vanoss) made all five of his shots from the field, collecting 13 points, along with a team-leading six assists, four rebounds and a steal.
• Senior forward Andre Brandon (Coralville, Iowa/Sauk Valley/Liberty) recorded 12 points, a team-high seven rebounds, two steals, an assist and a blocked shot.
• Fifth-year senior guard Julian Barr (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln Land/Lincoln-Way) went 4-for-5 with 10 points. He also had two rebounds, an assist and a steal.
• Junior guard Deontrae Warren (Champaign, Ill./Daley/Olive Harvey/Champaign Centennial) scored five points with three rebounds, two steals and an assist.
• Junior guard Ashton Atwater (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Valley/Ostego) added four assists, three points and three rebounds.

Saint Xavier (15-6, 10-3 CCAC) hosts Indiana University Northwest at the Shannon Center on Saturday, February 1. The game is slated for a 3:00 pm start.
