CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (9-6, 5-2 CCAC) lost to Indiana University South Bend in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest Wednesday evening on Bob Hallberg Court at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. Three-pointers were the difference in the match-up as the Titans were 11-for-19 from three-point range, while the Cougars were 5-for-30. Overall, IUSB out-shot SXU by a 53.6 percent (30-for-56) to 37.7 percent (26-for-69) margin. Junior guard
Jaidn Green (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North) led Saint Xavier with 14 points, while adding three rebounds and an assist.
- Junior center Eleanor Harris (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) collected 13 points on 5-for-5 shooting with two rebounds, two steals and a block in 24 minutes off the bench.
- Graduate student guard/forward Ryann Ogarek (Joliet, Ill./Benedictine/Lewis/Providence Catholic) also finished in double-figures with 10 points. She also had three rebounds and an assist.
- Redshirt junior guard Hayley Macdonald (Canberra, Australia/Williston State/Lake Ginninderra) pulled down a team-high eight rebounds (five offensive) while adding seven points, two assists, a blocked shot and a steal.
- Senior center Alyssa Crenshaw (Algonquin, Ill./Dundee-Crown) recorded seven points, along with six rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals.
- Sophomore guard Emma Clark (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah Community) registered six points and a steal.
- Senior guard Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) handed out a game-high tying six assists, and she added five rebounds, four points and a steal.
- Freshman forward Veronica Bafia (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) added four points, four rebounds and two assists.
Saint Xavier (9-6/5-2 CCAC) hosts Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) in CCAC action on Saturday, January 11. The game is set for a 1:00 pm tip-off.
