Manzke Nets Hat Trick in 5-0 Victory for SXU on ‘Senior Night’

CHICAGO – In a match called after it was official at the 70-minute mark due to inclement weather, graduate student forward Maddie Manzke (Orland Park, Ill./Keiser/Webber International/Warner/Sandburg) recorded a 'Hat Trick', scoring three goals, to help lead Saint Xavier University women's soccer (7-4-4, 6-1-3 CCAC) to a 5-0 triumph over Mount Mary University (Wis.) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest on 'Senior Night' on a rainy Saturday evening at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago, Ill. Manzke is the first player for the Cougars to post three goals in a match since Esmeralda Diaz (2021-24) do so in a 4-2 win over Indiana University South Bend on October 21, 2023, in South Bend, Ind. • On a free kick in the 18th minute, Swaw headed in a kick from junior defender Klair Heim (Denver, Iowa/Iowa Central/Denver) to extend the lead to 3-0. Heim earned her first assist of 2025.
