CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University men's soccer team (11-4-3, 6-2-2 CCAC) concluded the regular season with a 0-0 draw against Holy Cross College (Ind.) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest Saturday afternoon at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago, Ill. Saint Xavier controlled the pace of the match, outshooting the Saints by a 16-4 margin. Redshirt junior goalkeeper
Daniel Martinez (Cicero, Ill./Morton East) made one save to post his eighth shutout of the year, the most shutouts in a season since former standout Frank Valle (2014-17) also had eight clean sheets in 2015. The Cougars will continue their season, advancing to the CCAC Tournament as the No. 3 seed that begins on Wednesday, November 5.

- Aguilera also had four shot attempts with two shots on goal in 90 minutes of action.
- Redshirt sophomore midfielder Saul Lagunas (Midlothian, Ill./Bremen) recorded three shots on goal on three attempts while playing the full time.
- Aparicio, junior midfielder/forward Yael Diaz (Chicago, Ill./Moraine Valley/Hubbard), junior midfielder Mark Vitaliy Hul (Ternopil, Ukraine/Moraine Valley/TSSH No. 29) and sophomore forward Rodrigo Hernandez (Bridgeview, Ill./Stagg) each tallied two shot attempts, respectively.
- The defensive line of Estrada, junior midfielder/defender Aidan Breslin (Crestwood, Ill./Western Illinois/Shepard), Cardiel and both Diaz's limited scoring opportunities for Holy Cross as they surrendered just one shot attempt in the second half.
Saint Xavier (11-4-3/6-2-2 CCAC) hosts a CCAC Tournament Quarterfinal match at Deaton Field on Wednesday, November 5. The match is slated for a 7:00 pm start, however the opponent has yet to be determined.
