Bourbonnais, Ill. – Sophomore Joey Lagattolla (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East) was the top runner for the Saint Xavier University men's cross country team at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Championships with a time of 26:43.7 for a 21^st place draw in the 4.97-mile race Saturday morning at Aspen Ridge Golf Course in Bourbonnais, Ill. It was his first race at that distance at the collegiate level. The Cougars totaled 128 points to place fifth out of nine teams. No. 24 University of St. Francis (Ill.) took home the team crown with 33 points to claim an automatic berth into the NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships on that take place on Friday, November 21 in Tallahassee, Fla. USF also had the individual champion as Tyler Anderson logged a time of 25:11.4.

• Senior Rohindeep Bhattal (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence), racing in his first 4.97-mile race since his freshman year, demolished his personal record (PR) by almost 90 seconds with a time of 26:47.67 to place 23^rd overall.
• Junior Andy Damon (Crestwood, Ill./Oak Forest) competed in his 4.97-mile event, recording a time of 27:13.06 for a 28^th place finish, 27^th in scoring.
• Senior Ben Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew), also running in his first 4.97-mile race since 2022, took down his old PR by over 50 seconds, finishing 29^th overall, and 28^th in scoring, with his mark of 27:20.67.
• Sophomore Trey Maciejewski (Rensselaer, Ind./Rensselaer Central) was right behind his teammate, crossing at 27:22.93 to place 30^th and 29^th in scoring.
• Freshman Will Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) was next to cross the finish line with a time of 27:28.68 for a 33^rd place draw, 31^st in scoring.
• Junior Luis Lopez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) was 39^th overall and 35^th in scoring with his mark of 27:39.40.
• Junior Alejandro Velazquez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) was a step behind Lopez, clocking in at 27:40.40 to finish 40^th.
• Sophomore Xavier Sananisai (Rockford, Ill./Jefferson) placed 42^nd, running the course in a time of 27:41.10.
• Freshman Josh Bosstel (Portage, Ind./Portage), competing in his third event this season, posted a time of 27:46.76 to place 45^th.
• Freshman Michal Wreczycki Jr. (Palos Park, Ill./Stagg) logged a time of 29:01.95 to finish 63^rd.
• Freshman Joey D'anca (Palos Heights, Ill./St. Laurence) came away with a mark of 29:04.44 for a 65^th place finish.
