Davenport, Iowa – Graduate student guard/forward Ryann Ogarek (Joliet, Ill./Benedictine/Lewis/Providence Catholic) scored a game-high 16 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field to help guide the Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (18-9, 14-5 CCAC) to an 86-52 victory over St. Ambrose University (Iowa) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Wednesday evening at Lee Lohman Arena in Davenport, Iowa. Ogarek added four rebounds and a pair of steals in just 22 minutes on the court. SXU jumped out to a 10-0 lead, never trailing, and limited the Fighting Bees to 15.4 percent shooting (2-for-13) in the opening frame, holding a 22-6 advantage. Saint Xavier held SAU to 31.6 shooting (18-for-57) for the game, allowing just one three-pointer on 15 attempts (6.7 percent) and forcing 17 turnovers. The win extended the Cougars' winning streak to seven games.

• Senior guard Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) recorded her first double-double of the season, scoring 12 points with a season-high 10 assists. She also had two rebounds and a steal.
• Junior center Eleanor Harris (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) was 5-for-6 from the field, collecting 12 points. She added nine rebounds, three blocked shots, two steals and an assist.
• Freshman guard Maeve Egan (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) tallied 11 points on 4-for-8 shooting, and was 3-for-7 from three-point range, along with two rebounds and an assist.
• Freshman guard Makayla Kelly (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) scored nine points in 13 minutes off the bench while adding two rebounds and a block.
• Senior center Alyssa Crenshaw (Algonquin, Ill./Dundee-Crown) pulled down nine rebounds with eight points and an assist.
• Senior forward Sofie Carr (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) made her first start of the season, collecting six points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
• Redshirt senior guard Naya Haymon (Homewood, Ill./Kirkwood/Homewood-Floosmoor) came away with five points, two rebounds and an assist.
• Sophomore guard Madyson Kibelkis (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) also scored five points and she grabbed a pair of rebounds.
• Freshman guard Gianna Amadia (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) added two points, two rebounds, a blocked shot and a steal.

Saint Xavier (18-9/14-5 CCAC) returns to the Shannon Center for its regular season finale and will celebrate 'Senior Day' before they take on University of St. Francis (Ill.) on Saturday, February 22. The game is slated for a 1:00 pm tip-off.
