CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (18-10, 14-6 CCAC was narrowly defeated by University St. Francis (Ill.), 66-63, in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play Saturday afternoon on Bob Hallberg Court at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. to conclude the regular season. Aaliyahna Derrell (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek) had a good look at the game-tying three-pointer as time expired, however the shot hit the back of the rim to end the game. Derrell was one of four players for the Cougars to score in double-figures, collecting 10 points. She added a game-best seven assists, three rebounds and a steal.

- Ogarek finished with a team-high tying 13 points and a team-best nine rebounds in 32 minutes.
- Junior guard Jaidn Green (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North) also netted 13 points, along with two rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot in 33 minutes off the bench.
- Crenshaw totaled 10 points, and was 6-for-6 from the foul line. She also had seven rebounds (five offensive), an assist and a steal.
- Macdonald collected five points, five rebounds and a block.
- Freshman guard Maeve Egan (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) recorded five points as well.
- Carr came away with four points and three rebounds in her second start of the season.
- Hernandez knocked down a three-pointer in her first start of the year.
- Harris added five rebounds, three blocked shots and a steal, while Haymon grabbed a rebound.
Saint Xavier (18-10/14-6 CCAC) qualifies for the CCAC Tournament and awaits its seeding, whom they play, and whether they will be home or away. The league office will announce the conference bracket early next week with the tournament starting on Wednesday, February 26.
