Bobby Habetler (Park Ridge, Ill./Indiana Tech/St. Patrick) earned one of the five spots on the NAIA All-American First Team for the Saint Xavier University men's bowling team when the awards were announced by the national office at a banquet Wednesday evening before the start of the NAIA Men's and Women's Bowling National Championship Tournaments at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Mich. on Thursday. Habetler is now a two-time All-American for the Cougars after he claimed NAIA All-American Second Team a season ago. It is the third consecutive season that SXU has had a bowler named First Team All-American as former standout Alex Acosta (2018-23) won the award in 2023 and
Michael Harmon Jr. (2023-24) earned the award last season.
- Habetler posted the highest individual frame fill percentage in the NAIA this season at 91.2 percent in 497 frames. He had the best frame fill percentage under the Baker Games format at 92.1 percent and he was third under the Traditional format at 90.6 percent.
- He also recorded the best individual single pin spare percentage in the NAIA at 98.4 percent in 127 attempts. Habetler tied for No. 1 under the Baker Games format with three other bowlers at 100.0 percent, converting the most on 52 attempts. He was third under the Traditional format at 97.3 percent on 75 attempts.
- Habetler was No. 1 in the NAIA in individual spare conversion percentage at 80.5 percent on 276 attempts and No. 1 in individual "makeable" spare conversion percentage at 91.2 percent on 194 attempts. In the first category he was second in both Baker Game and Traditional formats at 82.9 percent on 82 attempts and 79.2 percent on 144 attempts, respectively. Habetler was also second in "makeable" percentage in Baker Game and Traditional formats, recording marks of 93.6 percent on 78 attempts and 89.4 percent on 123 attempts, respectively.
- He came away with the second-best Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI) score at 98.1 percent, just behind the NAIA Player of the Year Bryce Oliver from University of Pikeville (Ky.), who had a score of 99.6 percent.
- Habetler registered the fourth-best individual scoring average in the NAIA with an average frame score of 21.421 across 497 frames. He was No. 5 under the Baker Game format with a tally of 21.531 and No. 9 under the Traditional format at 21.359.
- Earlier in the season, he bowled just the second 300-game in program history at the Collegiate Shoot-Out on December 20 at South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas, Nev. Habelter claimed All-Tournament at the meet with a fourth-place total of 1,172 pins.
