Gary, Ind. – Senior setter Samantha Hovey (Mackinaw, Ill./Heartland/Dee-Mack) recorded her second triple-double of the season, collecting 21 assists, 20 digs and a match-best 15 kills to help lead Saint Xavier University women's volleyball (7-4, 5-1 CCAC) to a five-set comeback win (25-21, 18-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-8) against Indiana University Northwest in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play Tuesday evening at the Savannah Center in Gary, Ind. Hovey added three service aces to extend SXU's winning streak to six consecutive matches. She also had a triple-double vs. Bethel University (Ind.) when she had 18 assists, 13 digs and 10 kills on August 27. As a team, the Cougars posted a season-high 58 kills and a season-best 14 aces.

• Junior setter Abbey Opilka (Dyer, Ind./Hanover Central) tallied her first double-double of the year after she came away with a season-high 20 assists and a season-best 11 digs. She also had match and season-high five service aces.
• Fifth year senior libero Avanna Martinez (Coamo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Ponceno) scooped up a match-leading 23 digs, her second-best effort this year, and third match with 20 or more digs in 2025. She also had four assists and three aces.
• Sophomore middle blocker Carrington Smith (Flossmoor, Ill./Marian Catholic) had 11 kills on a .346 attack percentage (11-2-26) along with two blocks, two service aces and a dig.
• Senior outside hitter Jenny Jensen (Orland Park, Ill./Cardinal Stritch/Sandburg) registered 11 kills as well, her fourth match with 10 or more kills this season, while adding five digs.
• Senior middle blocker Nicole Grochola (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) finished with nine kills, two digs and a solo block.
• Redshirt sophomore middle blocker Delaney Panozzo (Grant Park, Ill./Grant Park) totaled seven kills, three digs and a solo block.
• Graduate student defensive specialist Katie DeHaan (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) posted nine digs and a pair of assists.
• Senior outside hitter Tara Glynn (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards) collected three kills and two digs.
• Sophomore libero/defensive specialist Taylor Vann (Oklahoma City, Okla./Bishop McGuinness Catholic) recorded four digs, an ace and an assist.
• Freshman outside hitter Danica Bowden (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) came away with her first two collegiate kills, along with two blocks and two digs.
• Senior defensive specialist Ariel Hoskin (Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove South) chipped in three digs in the road win.

Saint Xavier (7-4/5-1 CCAC) travels to Elgin, Ill. to play Judson University (Ill.) in a CCAC contest on Thursday, September 25. The match is set for a 7:00 pm first serve.
