- Aguilera recorded two shot attempts and one shot on goal in 68 minutes of play.
- Senior midfielder Pedro Guzman (Burbank, Ill./Moraine Valley/Reavis) came away with a shot on goal in 54 minutes of action.
- Senior defender/midfielder Daniel Diaz (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) and junior midfielder Mark Vitaliy Hul (Ternopil, Ukraine/Moraine Valley/TSSH No. 29) each finished with one shot attempt, respectively.
- Aguilera sent a free kick from 52 yards out from the near side over the keeper to give Saint Xavier a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute.
- The score remained the same until the V-Hawks scored twice in just under 90 seconds with goals in the 71st and 72nd minutes.
- The Cougars had a corner kick in the 86th minute, however Diaz's header went wide to the right of the goal.
Saint Xavier (5-3-1/0-1 CCAC) travels to Hammond, Ind. to play Governors State University (Ill.) in a CCAC contest on Saturday, September 27. The match is scheduled for a 2:00 pm start at Dowling Park.
