CHICAGO – Senior midfielder Hailey Henry (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah Community) scored a pair of goals and junior forward Alex Jonaitis (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) added a pair of assists as the Saint Xavier University women's soccer team (5-3-1, 4-0 CCAC) defeated Indiana University South Bend 4-0 in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest Saturday afternoon at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago, Ill. It was the third time in her career that Henry tallied multiple goals in a match, and the first time since her freshman season in 2022. The win was the fourth in row for the Cougars, all shutouts, and it's the first time since 2010, September 29-October 9, that they have posted four straight shutout victories. SXU had four consecutive shutout wins last season, however one came via forfeit.

• Saint Xavier had a trio of goalkeepers play in the match. Junior goalkeeper Natalie Dybas (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) made the start, but did not see a shot attempt. Freshman goalkeeper Cristina Ramirez (Homewood, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) started the second half, recording a save in her first minute of action and playing 29:53. Sophomore goalkeeper Melany Zuniga (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) made her collegiate debut, playing the final 15:07 of the match and collecting a save.
• Senior midfielder Veronica Davila (Bourbonnais, Ill./Governors State/Bradley-Bourbonnais) recorded the game-winning goal on her only shot attempt while playing 25 minutes.
• Freshman midfielder Paige Swaw (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) registered her fourth goal of the season on an assist from Jonaitis. She totaled a match-high five shot attempts along with three shots on goal in 71 minutes of play.
• Henry came away with four shot attempts and three shots on goal in 70 minutes.
• Jonaitis also had four shot attempts with two shots on goal in 60 minutes of action.
• Davila opened the scoring in the 6^th minute when she intercepted a clearing pass and rocketed a shot from the left side from 25 yards out past the IUSB goalkeeper.
• In the 36^th minute, Jonaitis had her shot saved but the deflected save caromed to Henry who lined her second goal of the season into the back of the net to extend the lead to 2-0.
• Swaw pushed the advantage to 3-0 in the 61^st minute after receiving a pass from Jonaitis, striking the ball from the right side from 10 yards out.
• Two minutes later in the 63^rd minute, Henry notched her second goal of the match, and third of the year, lacing a shot past the keeper from inside the eight-yard box.

Saint Xavier (5-3-1/4-0 CCAC) hosts Judson University (Ill.) at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in a CCAC match on Wednesday, October 1. The contest is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start in Chicago, Ill.
