James Morgan (Chicago, Ill./South Suburban/Lincoln Land/East Chicago Central) scored a season-high 32 points on 11-for-15 shooting, including at an 80.0 percent clip (4-for-5) from three-point range, however the Saint Xavier University men's basketball team (11-15, 9-10 CCAC) lost to Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match-up Wednesday evening at the Rittenmeyer Center in Whiting, Ind. The 32 points and 11 made field goals by Morgan are the most by any Cougar this season. He added four rebounds and a pair of assists in 32 minutes of action.

Ashton Atwater (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Valley/Ostego) made it a three-point game, 64-61, with 8:26 left in regulation, but that would be as close as SXU would get as CCSJ pulled away, making foul shot down the stretch for the win.
- Atwater scored 17 points on the night, 16 coming in the second half, on 6-for-12 shooting. He was also 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, adding three assists, two rebounds and two steals in 30 minutes of play.
- Senior forward Davion Lawrence (Oak Lawn, Ill./Moraine Valley/Oak Lawn Community) grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds with nine points, a season-best five assists and two steals in 35 minutes of action.
- Vaval finished with seven points, two rebounds and a steal before fouling out.
- Senior guard Ike Nwaobi (York/Kilgore/Costal Bend/Westbrook) collected six points, an assist, a rebound and a steal.
- Redshirt sophomore guard Jordan Streeter (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) posted five points, four rebounds and an assist.
Saint Xavier (11-15, 9-10 CCAC) concludes the regular season when they travel to Palos Heights, Ill. to play Trinity Christian College (Ill.) in a CCAC contest on Saturday, February 21. The game is set for a 3:00 pm tip-off.
