CHICAGO – Behind a season-high team attack percentage of .435 (37-7-69), the No. 2 ranked Saint Xavier University men's volleyball team (21-3/10-0 CCAC) improved to 10-0 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play with a three-set victory (25-12, 25-15, 25-17) over Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) Tuesday evening on Bob Hallberg Court at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. Competing in their first home match since February 23, the Cougars moved their record to 7-0 on the season when they had an attack percentage of .400 or better. It was also the fourth time this year that SXU had fewer than 10 attack errors. Saint Xavier finished with 10 service aces, giving them 207 as a team in 2026. It is only the third time in team history that they have had 200 or more aces in a season: 266 in 2022 and 241 in 2025.

• Junior outside hitter Caydann Cox (Helena, Mont./Jamestown/Jamestown) collected a match-best 12 kills on a .440 attack percentage (12-1-25), two blocks, a dig and a service ace.
• Graduate student opposite hitter Matt Pennala (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach City/St. John Bosco) posted 10 kills on a phenomenal .714 attack percentage (10-0-14), along with six digs, three blocks (two solos) and an ace.
• Junior setter Cameron Daniels (Omaha, Neb./Millard West) dished out 33 assists with seven digs, two blocks and two service aces.
• Senior libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) came away with a match-high eight digs while adding two assists and an ace.
• Freshman middle blocker Hayden Grange (Mission Viejo, Calif./Trabuco Hills) had four kills, four consecutive service aces in the third set, three blocks (one solo) and a dig.
• Senior middle blocker Tysen Myers (Apple Valley, Minn./Jamestown/Eastview) tallied four kills and three blocks (one solo).
• Junior opposite hitter/outside hitter Donte Jennings (Spokane Valley, Wash./Morningside/Jamestown/Central Valley) logged three kills, a block and a dig.
• Redshirt freshman middle blocker Nick Gutka (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Purdue Fort Wayne/Conant) registered two kills and a block.
• Freshman outside hitter Bernardo Kumm (Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil/Colegio Maua) finished with two kills, while freshman outside hitter Henry Truitt (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) added an ace and a dig.

No. 2 Saint Xavier (21-3/10-0 CCAC) returns to the Shannon Center to play Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) in a CCAC contest on Tuesday, March 24. First serve is slated for 7:00 pm in Chicago, Ill.
