CHICAGO – Senior middle blocker Tysen Myers (Apple Valley, Minn./Jamestown/Eastview) and junior outside hitter Caydann Cox (Helena, Mont./Jamestown/Jamestown) each had seven blocks on the night as No. 3 ranked Saint Xavier University men's volleyball (22-3/11-0 CCAC) totaled 12.5 blocks (five solos) in a 3-0 triumph (25-20, 25-21, 25-16) over Governors State University (Ill.) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) contest Thursday evening on Bob Hallberg Court at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. Meyers tallied eight kills on a stellar .538 attack percentage (8-1-13) with two solos blocks and dig, while Cox also had eight kills with three solos and two digs. It was a season-high in blocks for Cox, and Meyers equaled his season-best, set on February 10 vs. Roosevelt University (Ill.). The five solo blocks by the Cougars are the second-most in a match this year behind eight in their home-opening win over St. Thomas University (Fla.) on January 29.

• Graduate student opposite hitter Matt Pennala (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach City/St. John Bosco) collected a team-leading nine kills, adding five digs, four blocks and an assist.
• Junior setter Cameron Daniels (Omaha, Neb./Millard West) issued a match-best 31 assists, along with three digs and a service ace.
• Senior libero Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/St. Francis) recorded a match-high 12 digs. It was his ninth match with 10 or more digs in 2026.
• Freshman middle blocker Hayden Grange (Mission Viejo, Calif./Trabuco Hills) tallied five kills, three aces, a season-high tying three digs and a block.
• Junior opposite hitter/outside hitter Donte Jennings (Spokane Valley, Wash./Morningside/Jamestown/Central Valley) came away with four kills, three digs and a block.
• Freshman outside hitter Henry Truitt (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) booked three service aces in the win.

No. 3 Saint Xavier (22-3/11-0 CCAC) hosts Judson University (Ill.) in CCAC competition on Tuesday, March 31 at the Shannon Center. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
